Summary:
Must maintain confidentiality; be moral and ethical in corporate and customer practice. Follow corporate mission and vision statements. Adhere to the customer(s) Statement of Work or contract to meet customer requirements while maintaining corporate mission statement to surpass customer expectations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Test, troubleshooting, commissioning and continuing support of remote sites
Support of Field Engineering crews
Help maintain the Palm Bay Technical Support Center and Testbed
Technical Writing, to include Procedures, Data Sheets, Technical Manuals, etc
Occasional project work for Engineering Department
Rack integration, cable fabrication, interconnect wiring and cabling
Satellite access; i.e. bringing up/down carriers, optimizing earth station antennas
Training of Field Engineers and other Tech Support personnel
Skills and Attributes:
Knowledge of satellite earth stations and associated equipment
Knowledge of applicable test equipment; Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Frequency Counters, Transmission Test Sets, Distortion Analyzers, BER Test Sets, Video/Audio Monitors, etc.
Proficient at system level troubleshooting and test
Working knowledge of C-Band and Ku-Band transmit and receive equipment
Working knowledge of monitor and control systems
Working knowledge of networking equipment
Ability to utilize personal computer and/or computer terminal including keyboard and mouse or equivalent
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperterminal and/or Procomm
Working knowledge of system integration and rack/IFL interconnects
