Field Technician - Subcontractor Positions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have good customer interface skills, and be able to arrive on jobsite on time. Must have good problem solving skills and be comfortable working in a non-structured environment.

Broad background in satellite antenna, communications, and computer
systems
Comprehensive understanding of VSAT, TVRO, Microwave antennas, electric
media systems installation, CAT 5 cable, LAN and WAN fundamentals,
and electronics theory
Intermediate mechanical and computer skills
Fiber optic cabling experience
Low Voltage wiring experience
Working knowledge and skill to operate a spectrum analyzer and multimeter

Requirements:
Minimum coverage of $1 million per Each Occurrence General Liability Insurance **Certificate required before work can begin.

Education and/or Experience:
Commercial VSAT Experience Required (Photographs and references may be requested for verification)

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a subcontractor to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical activities required on a daily basis will consist of sitting, standing and walking throughout a variety of job sites. The subcontractor is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The subcontractor may frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a subcontract field technician encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the subcontractor regularly works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to quiet.
